At some point, my family decided to repaint a room in our house. Simple enough, until it wasn’t. What should’ve been a simple choice turned into a debate at the hardware store, standing in front of a wall of Pantone cards arguing over colors. To everyone else, it felt like overthinking. To me, it felt necessary.
I’m Mau Brito, an advertising student at Indiana University. I’m visually driven and drawn to the decisions that seem small but end up shaping how something is experienced. I spend most days on a bike, which gives me plenty of time to think about color and the choices brands make. Advertising makes sense to me because it rewards people who care about details, ask questions, and obsess just enough to get it right.
